Dyann Corley Kelly Obituary (1960 - 2025)

The world became a better place on Saturday, September 17, 1960, when Dyann Corley Kelly was born – the youngest of four children. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She was called home by her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2025, shortly before she was to turn 65. She was the most authentic, genuine, and selfless person – there was no guessing as to what was on her mind. She loved fiercely and unapologetically. Early in life - and on, she looked up to her older sister Garlene and they remained very close until Garlene went with our Lord and Savior in January of 2024. Later in life, she devoted her time and devotion to her grandchildren - making sure their every need or want was met – even if it meant spending her last dollar. As a mother, she was a textbook “Mama Bear” and she was the best mother anyone could hope for. She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and in her healthier days would take them to parks, arcades, or anything else they wanted to do. Although her children are grown, she took care of them just as she did when they were young and was still very loving and protective, to say the least. Her love, smile, laughter, and wit will be sorely missed, and her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. Although her death was unexpected, the family was blessed to be able to say our last “goodbye’s” and “I love you’s” before she passed the following day. She was preceded in death by her parents Garland and Jean Ann Corley; brother John Marvin Corley; and sister Garlene Corley Shelton, and (ex) husband Danny Ray Kelly, whom she still deeply loved. She is survived by her brother Robert Garland Corley and wife Terri Corley, her children James Wesley Arnold and Lacey Lanell Rainwater and husband Mark Rainwater; as well as her grandchildren Kaiden Wesley Arnold, Payton Reece Newman, and Paisley Ryen Newman. She also loved her stepchildren as though they were her own - Tim Arnold and wife Michelle Arnold and family, Jeannine Dibble and husband Shawn Dibble and family, and Christine Warren and family. We all miss her more than words can portray, and we pray that we’ll all be together again someday.
