Christopher James Riddle

Chris, affectionately known as "Beer Reebs," beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away in San Antonio, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of music, laughter, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Chris was known for his big heart and strong will, living life with a passion that was impossible to ignore. As the frontman of Rancid Vat, and many other bands, he commanded the stage with an undeniable presence, pouring his soul into every performance. Music was more than a career—it was his lifeblood, a force that connected him to countless friends and fans.

Beyond music, Chris was an avid reader, a dedicated gamer, and a loyal member of the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. His appreciation for storytelling and the strange and unusual was matched only by his ability to bring joy and humor into the lives of those around him. Whether sharing stories, playing his favorite games, or simply enjoying the company of friends, he had a way of making every moment memorable.

He is survived by his loving mother, Martha Riddle; his devoted sister, Angela; and his brother, Matthew. Though he has left this world, his impact will never fade—his music will continue to echo, his stories will live on, and his unwavering love for his people will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

In honor of Chris’s love of literature and the mysterious, donations may be made in his memory to the Cross Plains Public Library.
